Maria Jose is a graduate of the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs. Further enriching her skill set, she also holds a Quantitative Business Foundations Graduate Certificate from the George Washington University School of Business. This unique combination of international affairs knowledge and quantitative business skills equips her with a multifaceted approach to the legal challenges faced by BLG’s clients.
Maria Jose joined BLG in September 2023, bringing with her valuable experience gained from working for one of the area’s top law firms. Her primary focus at BLG is on removal defense cases before immigration courts, and she plays a crucial role in the preparation of pleadings for state circuit courts. This work is pivotal in assisting juvenile immigrants to obtain Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, a process that requires both legal acumen and a deep sense of empathy.
