As the founder and managing attorney of Blanco Law Group, P.C. (BLG), Jose Blanco brings a wealth of experience and a deep personal connection to immigration law. A practicing attorney since 2008, Jose’s academic background includes a juris doctor degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, providing a solid foundation for his legal career. This educational experience, combined with his Spanish and Peruvian heritage, deeply influences his approach to legal advocacy and understanding of the immigrant experience.

Jose established the Law Offices of Jose Blanco, P.C. in December 2011, which later evolved into BLG. His commitment to immigrant rights and justice has been recognized through his continuous selection as a Super Lawyer Rising Star by Thomson Reuters in both Maryland and Washington, DC, every year since 2018.
