We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Associate Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
Provide legal representation and advice to clients on various aspects of immigration law, including but not limited to all forms of removal defense, family-based petitions, waivers, visas, and naturalization.
Prepare and file petitions, applications, and supporting documents for immigration benefits.
Represent clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Immigration Courts, and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
Conduct legal research and stay abreast of changes and developments in immigration law.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with case updates, answering queries, and ensuring they are informed about their case progress and potential outcomes.
Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to manage caseloads efficiently.
Participate in community outreach, education, and pro bono activities.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in a State Bar Association; membership in the state of Maryland, Virginia or Washington DC is preferred.
1-3 years of experience in immigration law practice, with a strong understanding of immigration procedures and forms is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to the principles of equal justice and the firm’s mission.
Bilingual abilities are a plus, particularly in Spanish or other languages commonly spoken by immigrant communities.
